Typing accented or special characters

Postby The Texas Dude » Wed Jun 25, 2008 5:00 pm

There are shortcuts for displaying "funny" characters using the most common text fonts.

If you type Alt+0169 for instance, using the 10=key pad for the numbers, the copyright sign is shown: ©. 0170 is ª, 0171 is «, etc. There is a very long list of these characters (~226) listed in: http://www.omniglot.com/mlcomputing/diacrits_win.htm#win

These keyboard shortcuts can be used online or in letters you write as most "professional" fonts have these extra characters included. If you are dealing with unusual or "unprofessional" fonts, they may be missing.

¡¿Will you find ways to use these?! ? ? TD
